A beta version of another site is available to anyone wanting to have a play around with it. We hope to have it live in the next few months but we cannot give an accurate date as some of this is dependent on elements outside of our control.

PetSitAustralia.com.au is now live and over the coming months is to be marketed. Some small problems but a very easy rollout after running petsit.ie for a couple of months.

Just to let all know, ideas are still coming in and we are still working behind the scenes on this project.
One site we spent a lot of time on and which showed great promise now looks like it will not progress much further. This is really because another site which is very similar has since gone to market and so we have put things on hold for a bit.
Ideas have really started to come in from outside Ireland and we expect to have a website set up in Australia in the next 2 to 3 months.
20/1/2009 A quick update
In the midst of flooding we are still working away quietly on ideas and are hoping to have another site live by the end of the year. At least two other sites are on track to be live sometime next year (we have to maintain 9 to 5 work at the same time!).
We are looking for others to get involved. If you are interested in taking part in some of our projects please contact us. You will need to be prepared to work for free initially but if the idea takes off you will share in the rewards which depending on how good the idea is may be huge! We may also be able to swop services similar to the way it works on swoponomics.com (well done Gerry!). We are looking especially for people with graphics (web design) and internet marketing skills but regardless if you think you have something to offer don't hesitate to let us know.

Although in beta mode for some time, irishgratitude.com is now live and has been set up to collect stories of Irish gratitude. This is a simple but effective site and it's great to have something like this in times of recession. Well done to Brian and all involved.

The first site built as a result of norecessionroundhere.com is PetSit.ie and is now live. This is a beta release so any feedback would be appreciated. The site aims to connect Pet Sitters and other Pet Professionals with their consumers. All listings to 2010 are free and businesses who sign up between now and November 1st go into a draw to win a free ad on the home-page.
22/09/2009 First site live by October 9th
The first website to come about directly as a result of norecessionroundhere.com is expected to go live on or before Oct 9th. We have been working hard over the past month but things just take time. One delay has been in the amount of time it is taking get a business name registered throught the CRO (Companies Registration Office). However the bigger the site the longer it takes to build. One project is not expected to be completed until late 2010.

This is what the deputy editor of one of our national papers told me recently in explaining why they wanted to but couldn't run a story on norecessionroundhere.com. In these times of recession, bad news is good news for media it would seem.
For those looking for updates we are working feverishly on 3 projects. All is going well but it just takes time get things together!
07/08/2009 - 3 ideas in progress
At the moment 3 ideas are being worked on and 2 of these are websites which we expect to have live in the next 2 months or sooner.
We're still open to new ideas. Inititally the whole idea of norecessionroundhere was aimed at an Irish audience. However we have had ideas posted from all over the world and so if you are not based in Ireland please post your idea anyway. In today's world it is possible to work with people all over the world without ever meeting face to face. So go ahead submit your idea now

New ideas are still coming in all the time and in fact this week we had our first case of the same idea being posted twice by two different people.
We have had a couple of ideas posted which do not have a revenue stream (initially anyway) but may still be of significant benefit to the community. Some of these we may take on but if there are any developers/designers out there who have some spare time please contact us Remember it would be better to be doing something that may lead to something bigger rather than doing nothing at all. On this note if you have an idea which may not make a million euro but might be of significant benefit to you and others please let us know about it

We have now gone through all ideas posted over the past week. We have responded positively to many of the ideas and in many cases are negotiating the best way to move forward. In most cases we will respond to your idea in 48 hours but if you have posted an idea and have not heard from us please contact us. We are still looking for even more ideas however! If you have an idea, don't put off doing something about it - post it now! Following our significant plug on the Ray Foley show yesterday we have got a flood of ideas. Some are very good while others are, well.... not so good. We are going through them at the moment so if we have not contacted you yet we will over the coming days.
