What's all this about then?

Think of this as the Dragons Den for new websites. However instead of investing money we will invest our time and build your website. In return we will take a stake in the website or the websites profits.

Do you have an idea for a website but no money to bring it to life? Do you want your friends to say "hmmm no recession round here" every time they meet you? If so don't just think about it fill in the form and let us know.

Will you lads steal my idea?

No way! This site has been set up by volunteers. We are not interested in taking peoples ideas and making them our own. If we think the idea is not worth developing we will simply say "we're out".

If it's a good idea we will get in touch with you and come to an agreement on how we bring your idea to life. Ideas/pitches/proposals will not be displayed anywhere without prior consent from the authors. If you still have concerns please contact us

Who are the investors?

The company behind this website is Glicnet and its technical director is Fergal Donlon. Glicnet are a web development company based in Galway who build websites for clients all over the world and Fergal has over 10 years experience in building websites and web applications. Depending on the level of submissions other investors may be brought on board. If you are a web development company/developer and are interested in investing your time please contact us.

So how is this different to the Dragons Den?

Firstly unlike the Dragon's Den there's no need to be scared or nervous of any Dragons and you can dress however you like!

Yes, you are pitching your idea to us but if we don't see your business as a successful business model it doesn't mean it's all over. In most cases we will provide a quote on bringing your idea to the world. In this case you pay for the cost of building the website. Once the website has been built and is up and running any profits will be all yours! Even if we think it's not for us, another trusted supplier may have a look at it and get in touch with you.

Also there is no two minute pitch! Take as long as you like to get your idea together. Then when you're fully ready, fill in the form with as much detail as you like. Remember the more detail you can give, the better your chances of your idea being accepted. However, the longer you spend thinking about your idea the more time you leave for others to come up with the idea first!
